What is it about? (Blurb from Goodreads)
Four renegade wolf shifters. An innocent young woman trapped in a web of lies. When their fates collide, sparks will fly…
Diagnosed with a rare terminal illness, I’ve spent over half my life in the Strand Corporation’s state-of-the-art treatment facility. I keep my chin up and do everything the doctors order, praying one day I’ll walk out of here in perfect health.
But when that day finally arrives, it’s nothing like I hoped it would be. Instead, it comes in a hail of gunfire, along with four distractingly handsome men who say they’re here to rescue me.
On the run with these mysterious men and hunted by the very people I believed were my caretakers, I begin to realize nothing is what I thought it was.
Turns out, I’m not really sick.
I’m not completely human either…
Wolf Hunted is the first book in The Last Shifter series, a slow-burn reverse harem story. If you love heroines with guts, hot alpha men, whychoose romance, and edge-of-your-seat action, dive into this thrilling new series today!
Thoughts
I love Sadie Moss! She has a way of turning a phrase that makes my literary heart sing, and when I saw she was going to tackle shifters, I knew I had to grab this book! While she pays homage to the theme, she twists it enough to make it truly her own, producing a new world with a complex background and mythos surrounding our favorite shapeshifters – the wolves.
The characters are very unique, bringing their own blend of magic to the pages, yet it is truly the FMC, Alex, that stands out. Written from her perspective, we get a front roll seat to the highs and lows of her newly tumultuous life, from the never ending medical procedures at The Strand, to the exhilaration of freedom. Her confusion, hurt and determination bleed through the scenes, drawing the reader ever deeper into this complex web of truth and lies.
In the end, there are far more questions than answers – mysteries that have been sprinkled across the chapters which will demand attention as the series progresses. I can’t wait!

Pros:
- Alex… keeping in step with her as she grows outside the Strand is fascinating.
- Well written.
- Unique world building, especially surrounding the hows and whys of weres.
- Well edited.
- The guys each gave their own personality, standing apart instead of blending like some RH novels portray.
Cons:
- Emotions feel a bit rushed, but time is mentioned in a couple places, leading me to believe that some scenes might have been cut in final edit, scenes that would lend the time needed fir characters to develop the strong emotions mentioned later.
Favorite Lines
Sort of like how guys named Chad were destined to grow up to be douchebags. (12%)
I’d spent my whole life being deceived by the pretty facade of an ugly place. (52%)
