Thoughts on Twisted Tides
Darker than some, but not overly so
Seeing Loxley Savage’s name on this book led me to believe this would be a truly dark tale, yet it veered from my expectations and presented a story that is just getting started. Shadowy, certainly, but not emotionally morbid.
It does pack a punch and the Kraken is no joke – and this is far from a light read – yet it reads a touch lighter, in the best possible way.
I enjoyed this novel, but be warned – it does end on a cliffhanger.
Pros:
- Intriguing world building.
- Dark(ish).
- The fast paced relationships make sense at the closing.
Cons:
- Little too Rushed places.

Verdict

This is a great start to a series that promises to be fascinating, myth heavy and just dark enough to keep you up late at night. I can’t wait to see what this duo of talented authors does in Book 2! Free on Kindle Unlimited.
