What a fantastic debut! This book smacks you across the face and demands you pay attention, weaving a complex story that is literally billions of years in the making.

Who is Everly? WHAT is Everly? No one really knows, but everyone wants to.

This story, while brewing in history and time, is set in present day, thrusting us into the life of modern Everly. We learn tid-bits as the story flows. Not who she is, but more what she can do, and what she can do for others. She is wanted the world over for her skills and powers, not to mention for the general mystery that surrounds her very existence. But Everly is hiding, and she does it very well… until four equally mysterious Supernatural men drop into her life and start shaking up the small town she calls home.

Favorite Lines

I tended to start stabbing shit when I became angry. Slight character flaw. (6%)

My eyes rolled so hard I nearly gave myself a headache. (26%)

I had to sow some chaos or it wasn’t a proper weekday. (39%)

It was a crown of tears that sat upon cracked armor covering a broken fool. (84%)

Pros:

Incredibly complex.
Well written.
Love, Love, Love Everly!
The mystery is captivating.
Such a delightful slow burn and slow build that will probably shock ALL of them when it comes to fruition.
Funny!

Cons:

A bit disjointed in the beginning. Reason 1/2 star is lost.
I want to know more about the guys, see more of them and understand them a bit better – Book 2?
