Down & Dirty

A Science Fiction offering that feels more like an adventure with political intrigue and a touch of fantasy. Fast moving and Epic in scope, it’ll punch the heart.

What is it about?

(Blurb from GoodReads)

When her most closely guarded secrets are laid bare, how will Kira survive the inevitable fall out—and will anybody be standing beside her in the end?

Traveling to the planet of Jettie in the hopes of finding safe harbor for her niece, Kira arrives only to find their destination host to the quorum—a series of dangerous contests that hold the power to decide the fate of empires.

With little choice but to participate, it doesn’t take long for Kira to find herself knee deep in enemies. Surrounded on all sides, Kira will have to face her worst fear. Trusting others with the truth.

Because it’s becoming clear the tsavitee are no longer content to exist in the shadows. War is coming—and everything Kira thought she once knew is about to change.

My Thoughts on Threshold Of Annihilation

Answers! We finally get a few of them in this third installment, from Kira’s shadowy past to the true connection to our favorite AI… it dances on the edge between intrigue and revelation, and it does it well.

The explosive climax of Book 2 leads directly into this novel, with barely a breath between scenes. One (just one) of Kira’s most dangerous secrets is revealed and the fall out is more devastating that she truly imagined it would be… a fall out that leads the narrative into more expansive directions and exciting depths.

It’s all about choices and tension – the fears Kira has harbored for over a decade are quickly becoming reality, and the devastation of that reality threatens the entire galaxy, and Kira’s small slice of it the most. Those she loves and cherishes are suddenly in the crosshairs and trust, the one thing Kira seldom gives, is needed in order to survive the future they all see coming.

Well written and woven with action, appeal and emotion, this is the type of engrossing Sci-Fi I love sinking my teeth into. I can’t wait to see what book 4 will reveal.
