What is it about?
(Blurb from GoodReads)
The Collapse took my rights away.
But it’s my heart that will leave me truly powerless.Somehow, I’m still alive.
So are the gruff, dangerous men I’ve found myself strangely at home with. The Steel Demons escaped execution only to find they’ve been betrayed by one of their own. Once an unbreakable brotherhood, tension and distrust grows between them.Meanwhile I’m stuck between a rock and Reaper’s hard place.
I should have known better than to fall for the green-eyed, rough-handed president. I knew a man like him would only hurt me. When he drops hints about sharing me with his two best friends, that says enough about what he thinks I am–an object to be passed around, just like every other woman after the Collapse.
The only question is, can I find the power to walk away?
Note from the Author
Powerless is the second book in a motorcycle-themed, dystopian reverse harem series. This series is full of kindle-melting steam and dangerous men who take what they want. Proceed with caution if easily offended.
Reading order:

Thoughts on Powerless
While I really liked this novel, I felt it didn’t quite live up to the depth and promise of book 1 (read my review here).
Perhaps it is because it is a second book and, arguably, the middle of the saga, when things slow and choices are made – but it felt different. Our medic wasn’t quite as tough, nor as stead fast, though she did find her loyalty with the MC. It just seems that her emotions spiraled quickly into fact, and then events with Shadow… that seemed out of character, not for him, but her.
Regardless, the plot still moves forward, mysteries are mounting and the paranormal hints are building. I’m an eager to see where this goes in book 3.
Favorite Line
Fucking motherfucker of all fucking fucks. (11%)
Pros:
- Well written.
- Well edited.
- World building is fascinating, we get more glimpses here.
- Characters are interesting, especially Shadow.
Cons:
- Choices seemed off.
- FMC was different in this book, kinda?
- Emotions felt rushed.
- Love Shadow… but that scene, and the aftermath, bothered me. Not that it happened, but the WAY it went down.

My Final Verdict on Powerless
Fast paced, with intriguing world building and burgeoning characters, this Dystopian RH smacks on the scene and just keeps trucking along. It’s dangerous, hot and just Paranormal enough to hint at things to come. Would recommend. Free on KU.
