What is it about?
(Blurb from GoodReads)
Until he died, my uncle tried to protect me from the world of Hunters, the world of swords and fangs that lies just under the shiny surface of the world you know. He tried to protect me because he thought his world was dangerous.
He was right, but he didn’t know the monster the Hunters fear most… might be me.
Nix and I run from the Hunters’ Academy, but we can’t run for long.
An evil witch says that he’s my father, that I can find refuge with him. But I don’t want to be a part of his world of darkness and blood sacrifice.
Either I need to prove I belong at the Academy.
Or I need to slay not just the monsters…
But also those who Hunt us.
Note
His Dangerous Ways is book 2 in a Reverse Harem series which features adult content more suited to older audiences.
Thoughts on His Dangerous Ways
Nice twist!!
Alright, I did not see that twist coming, though in retrospect I probably should have. There were clues, yet subtle ones. (read review of Book 1, here)
Regardless, that’s going to make book 3 a very interesting read. We already doubt who to trust! Except the guys, they may be a bit messed up and emotionally whacked, but they are a good trio of strength and determination – which is vital in the Hunter filled world.
Favorite Line
It doesn’t matter how badass you are. Pollen will still make you into her bitch. (33%)
Pros:
- Twists and turns, leading to both emotional and personal truths for the characters.
- The characters! I enjoyed the intro if the New York Hunters.
- Truby. He’s a villain… or? I probably shouldn’t, but I like him.
- The guys. Enough said.
Cons:
- Cade, I love you. Get over yourself.
- FMC, I love you. Get over yourself.
