Down and Dirty
A fun little escape. Not much in the way of plot or depth, but it IS fun.
What is it about?
(Blurb from GoodReads)
For better or worse Jane has three problems.
Michael, the sexy archangel who says all the right things.
Gabriel, the party boy with abs of steel.
And Lucifer, the devil in the sack.
Sure, it’s hard to juggle the three of them, but Jane wouldn’t have it any other way. Or would she?
When a new case opens at a local beach resort, netting Jane and her three sexy angels a free all-expenses paid vacation if she can catch the crooks, well, Jane just might find she enjoys the simple pleasures of free margaritas, shirtless hotties, and massages.
There’s just one more problem.
She actually has to solve the case.
Thoughts on Heaven’s A Beach
Laughs galore
Jane is back with her trio of misfit angels – and things are just getting hotter. They can Touch her, with a little help – and that means all bets are off and the relationships are ON! Hot, steamy, intriguing and all around fun, this book presents as a feel good, be good read that will make you laugh.
There is a decided lack of a solid plot that holds these books together (Read my review of Book 1 here) or any amount of clear world building to support the story as it flows. Those details dragged down the story, but I am also not sure that this is that kind of book series. There is an aura of playfulness within these words, an aura that kinda makes it clear that world building or cohesive plot is NOT what the author’s were aiming for. Fun? Oh yes, and it earned 4 stars from me based on that approach alone. Captivating? No. I wouldn’t read these again, but I enjoyed the ride.

Verdict

If you are looking for a fun and sexy distraction, with a touch of angelic lust, this is the book for you! If you want something a bit more solid and ‘chewable’, then these enjoyable little bites may just serve as an appetizer for more complex works elsewhere.
