What is it about?

(Blurb from GoodReads)

I thought I had survived the kings’ games.

I thought I had finally emerged victorious.

I was wrong.

Reeling from the disappearance of one of my mates, I must fight harder and smarter than ever before.

The new game? A scavenger hunt.

The prize? My lost mate.

With the world in political unrest, assassins hunting us at every turn, and new alliances being forged and old ones being broken, I don’t know if I’ll make it out of this alive.

Especially with the poison still coursing through my blood.

Maybe…

Maybe I’m just a glutton for punishment.

Let the new Damning commence.

Note:

This is book three of a seven book reverse harem series. That means the FMC will not have to choose between love interests at the end. This book contains strong language, sexual situations, and scenes of graphic violence. Reader’s discretion is advised.

Thoughts on Gluttony

4.5 rounded up

The third book is this dynamic series is all about growth and discovery. The Mates are starting to learn more about each other, and themselves – even our lost and insane vampire, Jax. Book 2 closed with his kidnapping discovered, and this one picks up just a week after those events.

Now it’s a race to find him, and deal with the mess the vampire kingdom throws at them. Our main protagonist is still swirling, but there are layers revealed there that make me think it’s not 100% evil… or maybe it is, and like so many other things in this fantasy series, it’s just another shade of gray.

Favorite Lines:

“I’m sorry for being a shitty mate. I just sometimes don’t know how to human?” (4%)
Love, after all, was nothing but a waiting game. (81%)

Pros:

  • Character growth!!! From ALL of them.
  • POV’s from Interesting additions, including one from Aliyaha at the end.
  • Mystery upon mystery.
  • Some foreshadowing from previous books pays off here.

Cons:

  • Z’s emotions are volatile here, offering little forgiveness for slights both large and small.
  • That Cliffhanger!!!! Ugh… lol!
