What is it about?

(Blurb from GoodReads)

Ophelia Rose has lived a lonely life. Surrounded by a luxurious estate, she’s always had everything she needed. Except for any love from her family. Her mother died when she was young and her absent father travels internationally for government contracts, leaving her with Denise. Her step-mother and two step-sisters aren’t cruel to her, but they are indifferent at best. It’s not just her family though. Everyone in Village Worth seems to regard her with caution while keeping a large distance, even her supposed best friends.

One night, change arrives, blown in by a storm, transforming her life into something of fairytales. What she thought was reality is twisted upside down and she finds herself missing chunks of time, and memories that no one else seems to have. Strangers that she’s never met begin acting like they’ve known her forever. All of this chaos is creating a massive chaotic symphony that ends in Ophelia discovering something about herself that she could have never guessed.

Note

This is a PNR/Fantasy RH Romance. Fae Fiefdom is the 1st book in this slow-burn NA series that will develop into a medium/fast burn as the story continues. The story will contain darker gothic themes of violence, swearing, gore, and sexual themes appropriate for +16 (for the 1st book of this series) and +18 for the following. There will be m/m themes as the book series progresses.

Thoughts on Fae Fiefdom

Something I have noticed about M. Sinclair’s work…. the concept are fascinating , the characters are compelling and the plots complicated, but – things can get very confusing, very quickly.

Don’t get me wrong, I love it, but I do get annoyed when I have to read a paragraph twice just to decipher what is going on. Non-spoiler example here: there is a something known as the shadow realm, which certain individuals can use, yet using this realm is almost like stepping into another dimension, one where the events there don’t really happen in the real world, but the memories remain, or form in the minds of those involved in the shadow realm. It’s a bit mixed up, and confusing and took me way too long to figure out what was going on.

Now, that not be the case for you. Maybe it’s just me. And fast fact here, even though her stories confuse me a little too much (Red Masquerades?) I am going to keep reading them, because the characters and plot alone make them compelling and worth devouring.

My Final Verdict on Fae Fiedom

A new type of fantasy with a fairy tale like appeal. It’s fast, somewhat muddled and very mysterious – and, of course, there is a plethora of hot guys. Free on Kindle Unlimited.

Image link will come later, Amazon seems to be having a hiccup.
