What is it about?
(Blurb from GoodReads)
Soraya Devil is the Enchantress, one of the most powerful magics in the world… But she’s so much more than that, and everyone’s constantly attempting to unravel her past and secrets. She’s not worried though, as many have tried and never find out the truth.
It’s safer for everyone that way.
The owner of Paranormal Investigations—among other companies—she has her own answers to find. Though she’s continuously pulled in too many directions, she always answers the calls that make even her magic tingle in warning at the danger.
When a sprite begins killing people in Chicago, she has to team up with SPU—Supernatural Police Unit—to figure out who summoned the demon and why before more die. While that’s enough of a challenge, the main hurdle is the team lead on the case who loathes all magics. But when he can’t seem to get past his hate and do his job, can Soraya make an ally from an enemy, or will the evil unleashed in the city she loves win the day?
My Thoughts on Demon of Death
Great!!!
I truly enjoy most of Flynn’s work, and this new to me series is no exception. Strong, alpha female with both brains and grit – intelligent people around her and a world built by imagination and intrigue.
My only issue with the entire narrative was the oppressing feeling that I was missing a large chunk of the back story. A bit of research revealed that IS the case, but not as important as I thought it was. Flynn writes under several pen names, one of which is Flynn Eire, where she pens some of her M/M delights. Into this genre is a Series called The Enchanter.... see a pattern here? Well, the Enchantress, our Soraya, is a version of the Enchanter from another dimension. While this facet does come into play in the narrative, you can still enjoy the story without reading the other.

You know… I am not really sure what the final will be. There are multiple love interests, and so far no M/M or F/F.

My Final Verdict on Demon of Death
A new world jumping off the framework created in another series, this features a headstrong woman with more skills than should be allowed, and a cast of characters that truly make this universe run. Free on Kindle Unlimited.
