Thoughts

This sets up the series nicely and alludes to the lush scenery that is sure to play out in Book 2 and throughout the Meta-plot.

While I was a bit disappointed in how some of this progressed, and the reactions of the characters, I still found quite a bit of sympathy with the FMC and her confusing predicament. I wonder how she is going to cope, not just with the mate thing, but the mother issue….

Good first few pages, opened the story right up.
The mark growth is unique.
Leaves us with more questions.

Cons:

Some info dump syndrome due to first book curse.
Reactions not always, or even remotely, understandable.
World building is a bit muddled.

Good basis for the rest of the series, Free on Kindle Unlimited. Worth checking out.
