(Forever Evermore – Book 4)
by Scarlett Dawn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Available on Kindle and in Paperback
Down and Dirty
This is the start of a new story, though it is the continuation of an older one in the ongoing Forever Evermore Series. It’s fast, a bit brutal and everything we’ve come to love from Scarlett Dawn.
What is it about?
(Blurb from GoodReads)
The second saga in the bestselling, groundbreaking Forever Evermore series begins with Chosen Thief, where the life of a skilled lawbreaker becomes much more than she ever wanted…
Caroline Jules knows death is imminent. She’s only 22, but as an inmate of Death Row in the most secure Mystical jail, what else could her future hold?
Caro has no idea. Her solitary, transient life is about to get flipped on its head when it is revealed that she is the new Prodigy Elemental, and she has responsibilities and ties that she can’t ever escape. Caro is attempting to run from a brutal past, but the Rulers have other plans for this thief’s future.
But the transition from a self-contained existence to life with the other Prodigies, the Kings and Queens, and even the Elders was never going to be easy, and Caro has secrets she’s loath to share. Suddenly she has friends, mentors, lovers — and they all want to know more about her than she is willing to reveal.
Will Caro ever escape the darkness of all she is, or will she fall deeper into the life that has been chosen for her?
Thoughts on Chosen Thief
A continuation of the forever evermore series, this is book 4, though it’s the first book in a new trilogy with new faces (or old really, considering the publication date).
Read my review of the First Trilogy IN the Forever Evermore series here.
While I enjoyed this and laughed quite a bit, I didn’t love it as much as the first round. That said, in still diving into book 5, right now.
- Reads well.
- Love Caro!
- Sin is bloody amazing.
- New faces.
- Old faces.
- What about the awakenings?
- So confused about Sin, for now.
- Minor editing issues.
First Person, Single POV
M/F… or F/F or…. hell, I don’t know how this is going to turn out. May very well end up being F/F/M/M
Character Age Range
Another winner by the talented Scarlett Dawn. It flows from scene to scene while grabbing the reader by the coattails, and never lets go.
