What is it about?

(Blurb from GoodReads)

Seven years ago, my best friends and I made a promise: No matter what, we would never date one of the King brothers. Even if they grew up to become megafamous, gorgeous, heart-stopping billionaires. Even if they crawled on their knees and begged for forgiveness.

But guess who just flew back into our lives in a private jet? And guess who just showed up to my job on my first day? Richard. King. Fortunately, it takes two seconds for Richard to reveal he hasn’t changed. Conceited. Cocky. Rude. Unfortunately, he’s also the kind of gorgeous that’s borderline offensive—with a jawline to make statues self-conscious and a grin that short-circuits my brain.

He’s spent years taking what he wants. I doubt he’s hungry for anything else—except me, apparently. There’s no way I’ll let him maneuver his way back into my life. My friends would never forgive me. I would never forgive me. But did I mention his jawline?

Thoughts on Anyone But Rich

Sweet

This is a sweet and rather straight forward contemporary romance. Two high school friends… or not friends…. reunite years later. Fireworks. It’s a feel good, be good that is sure to inspire a grin or two as you read.

While I enjoyed the budding romance between Kira and Rich, it was really the other brothers, Cade and Nick, along with the other friends, Miranda and Iris that REALLY stood out!

Favorite Lines

“Friendships are a lot like kindergarten art projects: without glue, they all fall apart.” (3%)
I’m just saying. Hate and love are more similar than people realize. Spend all your energy thinking about someone, even if it’s because you wish they’d choke on a hot dog, and you’re bound to confuse your heart.” (28%)
Trap a man in the dark with no sign of light and he’d resign himself to his fate, but give him the faintest sign of the sun and he’d try to fight his way free until his last breath. (29%)
“Addictions are something you wish you could quit. I’d rather be your hobby. At least people like their hobbies.” “Would you settle for an obsession?” “Obsessions can be nice.” (68%)

Pros:

  • Sweet.
  • Feel Good.
  • Some parts are flat out funny.

Cons:

  • JUST romance… nothing wrong with that, but there is little in back ground plot. A bit, but nothing truly captivating.
