Read my review of Book 1, For Fox Sake, Here!

What is it about?

Now that Selene has the potion to restore her magic, Kenzie must pay the piper for her deal with the devastatingly handsome Foxes. They want her to move in with them until their job is done, tempting Kenzie with not only their sexy presence, but with the promise of the growing mate bond between them. Kenzie knows she has to do it – but she doesn’t know if she can resist them, or if she should.

But how can a witch, a powerless witch at that, truly be mated to three fox shifters? Witches are supposed to be neutral, but with every day that passes, Kenzie can feel herself getting drawn deeper and deeper into the intrigue that surrounds the Six Rivers Pack, and the crazy Foxes that call it home.

Thoughts

There is something heartwarming about this universe – a softness even amongst the chaos and pain that surrounds it. I noticed it with Alpha Wolf and Broken wolf, and the same holds true here with the foxes. It’s charming, really.

Kenzie is proving time and time again to be a badass witch, even though she is dismissed and practically disowned by most in her powerful family. Kenzie’s power comes from her inner strength, her resolve, determination and her ability to manipulate tech in a form of tech magic. It makes her valuable, with skills that are coveted the dark web round, though her family doesn’t see it that way. As she navigates the new and exciting world of the foxes, those skills come into use far more frequently than she anticipated they would – and reveal even more mystery in this complex dynamic.

Perspective:

Third Person, Multiple POV

Ending Type:

Episodic with Series Plot Cliffhanger

Pros:

  • Sweet yet undeniably sexy.
  • Flows well.
  • Hunter, I just love him.
  • The big reveal, took me off guard, I was expecting something else.
  • Can we get Samuel’s story next?
  • Good exploration of emotional pull.

Cons:

  • Felt a bit short?
  • While this series can be read without reading anything else in this universe, it may help with a base understanding.
  • Third Book is not out yet and no new (at this time) on publication date.

Verdict

4 out of 5 Stars

This book continues the Fox saga and deserves a place in your Kindle. I would recommend it for your TBR list today.
